Spurs Leonard Stole The 2-win Streak From The Magics
So, last night's man of the match was Leonard. He is een rising in every match now. His game winning jumper last night made the Spurs beat Orlando Magic with a 98-96. Giving San Antonio spurs their 6th consecutive victory and bringing them on the nd position in the Western Conference.
The Spurs have entered the All-star weekend holding one of the best records, though they were playing without their point guard and their forward, Tim duncan playing minial after his recent knee injury. This could be an examplary game when the teams vital men are missing but just with confidence and belief they won the match.
Leonard was praised well by his teams guard in the most amazing words, " ... He is the one we go to." Leonard contributed his 29 points, while LaMarcus and Mills had 21 and 17 points, consecutively.
the scores showed how well the Magics play. They played with their hearts but the last miss ended the Magic's winning streak since last 2 games.
E. Fournier played his three pointed with approx. 13 seconds left, which tied the game. Nikola added 20 points and 13 rebounds, Victor contributed his 14 abd playton with his 13 points and 7 assists.
The courage is when you clearly accept what lacked with your team openly and then bring it up to work better in the next one. Magic's coach Scott accepted that Spurs played the game well in the 4th quarter and the Magics werent responding well to it.
Playton owned the last minute miss which proved to be the match losing act. He accepted that he tried to let the ball bounce but it slipped .
from the Spurs, Leonard, Mills, and Green played at the offensive end. This trio took good hold of the game. The first 21 points of the period cut down the deficit to 91-88. Aldrigde scored the 6 points for San Antonio along with a 18 foot fadeaway jumper at 1:10, which led the spurs to 94-93. This was followed by Leonards 2 freethrows which made it upto 96-93.
Mills called the game to be the frinding one and also added that they were right in trusting Kawhi Leonard, and their confidence turned out right when he made his move in the final second and played his matching winning shot.
