There are now many reasons to treasure 2016 All-Star game: Either this years All-Star game as the highest-scoring game in the league's history with western conference enjoying the win over Eastern Conference, 196-173, or better reason to treasure could be Kobe Bryant's final appearance in the competition. 
Kobe Bryant played his final, 18th All-star game and ended it with style. He performance was not at all disappointing, but he scored his 10 farewell points with 7 assists and even gripping 6 rebounds in the best manner.
 
Lakers and co's tribute to the legend
 
Kobe was welcomed well in the game and he responded to his fans with a perfect smile. This smile showed some nostalgia and emotional element when Johnson narrated Kobe Bryant brilliant career. His words were followed by a video which gave highlights of Kobe's career's best and then came the testimonials from the leading players of NBA. 
Paul George of Indiana Pacers called him his 'Mentor', Andre Drummond of the Pistons called him the reason of him struggling hard in the league, Chris Paul of the Clippers added that the league will miss Kobe, Pau Gasol of the Bulls called him his 'friend and brother', Kevin Durant titled him as ' A Champion Forever and a Walking Legend!", LeBron James said, "Kobe Bean, Salute, my brother" and in the end Johnson added that "There will never be another Kobe Bryant." 
How else could Kobe Bryant respond to all this, he approached Johnson and hugged him and the rest. NBA on ESPN tweeted: "We're not entirely sure, but we think Kobe Bryant may have shattered the All-Star record for hugs."
 
Kobe's career summed up
 
Kobe Bryant's never ending success stories and the passion he has showed for the game and the league has made him an idol for the rising NBA players and those still to come. Players like LeBron James and Michael Jordan call themselves lucky enough to have played with him. 
This great player of NBA has shown his to-be-legend moves since the start. In his second season with Los Angeles Lakers, as a guard, he was voted a starter for 1998 all-star game at the age of 19. Teaming with Shaquille O'Neal he won 3 consecutive NBA championships.
Following O'Neal's absence in the team, Bryant showed one of his careers best performances with 81 points against Toronto Raptors in Jan 2006, and created a history. He won the MVP in 2008 NBA Finals and following that his team won consecutive NBA final Championship titles. 
He has won gold medals in 2008 and 2012 Olympics. This All-star champion went ahead of Micheal Jordan in NBA Scoring list in Dec. 2014. 
He announced his retirement on The Players' Tribune Website. He is seen to be loved by all of NBA greats and stars. 
Following his farewell tour, this retirement ceremony was held on 14th February 2016 and Kobe Bryant, the legend of the game, Mentor for many, a brother and a great friend for his colleague, ended his career brilliantly in his last, 18th, All-Star game performance beating the Eastern Conference.
